What the red v. blue map really should look like

Many Republicans are crowing about how much "red" there was on the map last Tuesday. This is ridiculous. For example, Kerry received more votes in one county (Prince George's) in Maryland, a tiny state in area, than Bush received in the entire states of Wyoming, North Dakota, or Alaska. A map with the states drawn in proportion to population is far more instructive. Luckily there is one:
